Safinah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The Caliphate after me will last for thirty years, then there will be kingship.”
Sa’id said to Safinah, “Count the Caliphates of Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman?” Then, Safinah said, “You must count the Caliphate of Ali.” Sa’id said, “We found them to total thirty years.”

عَنْ سَفِينَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْخِلَافَةُ بَعْدِي ثَلَاثُونَ سَنَةً ثُمَّ تَكُونُ مُلْكًا
قَالَ سَعِيدٌ لِسَفِينَة أَمْسِكْ خِلَافَةَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَخِلَافَةَ عُمَرَ وَخِلَافَةَ عُثْمَانَ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي أَمْسِكْ خِلَافَةَ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ فَوَجَدْنَاهَا ثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً
