Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The angel of death attended to a man who was dying. He examined his heart and found nothing there, so he untied his jaws and found the tip of his tongue sticking to the roof of his mouth, saying: There is no God but Allah. He was forgiven due to the word of sincerity.”

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ حَضَرَ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ رَجُلًا يَمُوتُ فَنَظَرَ فِي قَلْبِهِ فَلَمْ يَجِدْ فِيهِ شَيْئًا فَفَكَّ لَحْيَيْهِ فَوَجَدَ طَرَفَ لِسَانِهِ لَاصِقًا بِحَنَكِهِ يَقُولُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ فَغُفِرَ لَهُ بِكَلِمَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِ
