Jabir ibn ‘Abdillah reported: While we were sitting with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, a woman came to him, saying, “Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah! I am from the women’s delegation to you. Allah is the Lord of men and women. Adam is the father of men and women. Allah has sent you to men and women. When men go out campaigning in the way of Allah and are killed, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision and rejoicing in what Allah has given them. When they go out, they have the reward as they have learned, while we serve them and stay in place, so what is our reward?” The Prophet said to her, “Give my greetings of peace to the women and tell them that obeying their husbands is equal to all of that, yet few of you do it. The right of a man is to have his wife.”

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ بَيْنَا نَحْنُ قُعُودٌ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ أَتَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَا وَافِدَةُ النِّسَاءِ إِلَيْكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الرِّجَالِ وَرَبُّ النِّسَاءِ وَآدَمُ أَبُو الرِّجَالِ وَأَبُو النِّسَاءِ بَعَثَكَ اللَّهُ إِلَى الرِّجَالِ وَإِلَى النِّسَاءِ وَالرِّجَالُ إِذَا خَرَجُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَقُتِلُوا فَأَحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ فَرِحِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ وَإِذَا خَرَجُوا لَهُمْ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ مَا قَدْ عَلِمُوا وَنَحْنُ نَخْدُمُهُمْ وَنَجْلِسُ فَمَا لَنَا مِنَ الْأَجْرِ قَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَقْرِئِي النِّسَاءَ عَنِّي السَّلَامَ وَقُولِي لَهُنَّ إِنَّ طَاعَةَ الزَّوْجِ تَعْدِلُ مَا هُنَاكَ وَقَلِيلٌ مِنْكُنَّ تَفْعَلُهُ حَقُّ الرَّجُلِ زَوْجَتُهُ
