Jesus on Excellence: Be good to the evildoer

Al-Sha’bi reported: Jesus the son of Mary, upon him be peace, would say, “Verily, goodness is not that you are good to the one who is good to you, for that is only a charitable recompense. Rather, goodness is that you are good to the one who is evil to you.”
