Sa’id on Curses: Do not wish evil upon believers

‘Ata’ ibn Dinar reported: Sa’id ibn Jubayr, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “Do not supplicate for evil against the believing men and women, asking Allah to disgrace them and curse them and so on, for that is transgression in the saying of Allah Almighty: Call upon your Lord humbly and secretly. Surely, He does not like the transgressors.” (7:55)
