Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Allah Almighty said: Whoever humiliates an ally of Mine, he has declared war upon Me. My servant does not draw closer to me with anything like fulfilling the obligations. The servant continues to grow closer to Me by recommended deeds until I love him. If he asks from Me, I will give it to him. If he calls upon Me, I will answer him. I do not hesitate in anything that I do as much as I am reluctant to make him pass away, for he hates death and I hate to distress him.”

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَنْ أَذَلَّ لِي وَلِيًّا فَقَدْ اسْتَحَلَّ مُحَارَبَتِي وَمَا تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيَّ عَبْدِي بِمِثْلِ أَدَاءِ الْفَرَائِضِ وَمَا يَزَالُ الْعَبْدُ يَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيَّ بِالنَّوَافِلِ حَتَّى أُحِبَّهُ إِنْ سَأَلَنِي أَعْطَيْتُهُ وَإِنْ دَعَانِي أَجَبْتُهُ مَا تَرَدَّدْتُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ أَنَا فَاعِلُهُ تَرَدُّدِي عَنْ وَفَاتِهِ لِأَنَّهُ يَكْرَهُ الْمَوْتَ وَأَكْرَهُ مَسَاءَتَهُ
