Hadith on Excellence: Best servants of Allah benefit the people

Al-Hasan reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The most beloved servants to Allah are those who are most beneficial to His dependents.”

Source: al-Jāmi’ al-Ṣaghīr 217

Grade: Hasan (fair) according to Al-Albani

Imam al-Qari commented, “Thus, the most beloved of creation to Allah are those who show goodness to His dependents, that is, those whom Allah has prepared and enabled to act with excellence toward His creation, as it is narrated: The best of people are those who are most beneficial to people.”
