They performed dry ablution with clean earth and prayed; later, they found water. One of them repeated his ablution and prayer, while the other did not repeat them. They came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and mentioned that to him. The Prophet said to the one who did not repeat his prayer, \u201c<strong>You have followed the Sunnah<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>correctly, and you will be rewarded for your prayer<\/strong>,\u201d and the Prophet said to the one who repeated his prayer, \u201c<strong>You have a double reward<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Source: Sunan Abi\u0304 Da\u0304wu\u0304d 338<\/p>\n<p>Grade: <strong><em>Sahih<\/em><\/strong> (authentic) according to Al-Albani<\/p>\n<p>Imam al-Qari commented, \u201c&#8217;<strong>You have a double reward<\/strong>,&#8217; that is, you will be rewarded twice for your prayer, as they were both correct and deserving of compensation, for Allah never wastes the wages of those who do good.
