Allah have mercy on him, \u201cIs there any benefit to fasting in the wisdom?\u201d Al-Ma&#8217;mun said, \u201cAllah Almighty knows what the impoverished endure of severe hunger, so He made the rich perform fasting that by necessity they might taste the flavor of hunger, such that they do not forget the severe hunger of the impoverished.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Source: al-Tab\u1e63irah li-Ibn
