Then, perform two prostrations before he offers salutations of peace. If he had<\/strong> <strong>mistakenly<\/strong> <strong>prayed five cycles, the prostrations would make his prayer even. If he had prayed precisely four cycles, it would be humiliation for Satan<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Source: S\u0323ah\u0323i\u0304h\u0323 Muslim 571<\/p>\n<p>Grade: <em><strong>Sahih<\/strong> <\/em>(authentic) according to Muslim<\/p>\n<p>Imam al-Nawawi commented, \u201cMalik, Al-Shafi\u2019i, and Ahmad, may Allah be pleased with them, as well as the majority, said that when one doubts his prayer, whether he prayed three or four cycles, one is required to act based upon what is known for sure.
