Malik wrote back to him, \u201cAllah Almighty has distributed good deeds just as he has distributed provision. A man may have the way of prayer opened for him but the way of fasting is unopened for him. Another may have the way of charity opened for him but the way of fasting is unopened for him. Another may have the way of jihad opened for him but the way of prayer is unopened for him. The spreading of knowledge and teaching it is among the best of righteous deeds. I am pleased with what Allah has opened for me of it. I do not suspect that what I have in it is lesser than what you have of it. I hope that each of us are upon good. It is necessary for each person among us to be pleased with what Allah has distributed for us.
