Do not deliberately leave off the prescribed prayer, for those who leave it have forfeited protection from Allah. Do not drink wine, for it is the key opening to every evil. Obey your parents, even if they order you to take from your worldly possession, take it out for them. Do not contend with those in authority, even if you think you are right. Do not run away when the army advances, even if you meet your demise and your companions flee. Send from your means upon your family and do not raise the rod against them.
