I mentioned it to him and he said, \u201cI would not want to be without it, for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: <strong>Sharpness may arise in the best of my nation<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Source: Musnad Ibn Abi\u0304 Shaybah 616<\/p>\n<p>Grade: <em>Hasan<\/em> (fair) according to Al-Busiri<\/p>\n<p>Imam al-San\u2019ani commented, \u201cSharpness refers to lightness and energy, but what is intended here is firmness, intensity, and quickness in carrying out good, without being deterred by others in doing so, as the commentator has stated. It is also possible that what is meant is a certain quickness or edge in any matter\u2014whether it may be praiseworthy or blameworthy\u2014but that it does not persist. This is why the wording \u2018may arise\u2019 was used, which indicates that it appears and then quickly subsides.
