Aisha reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, fainted and then regained consciousness, so he performed a ritual bath for prayer. Then, the Prophet fainted again and regained consciousness, so he performed a ritual bath for prayer.

Al-Nawawi said, “The Muslim nation has come to a consensus that ablution is invalidated by insanity and fainting… Our companions agreed that whoever loses consciousness from insanity, fainting, illness, intoxication by wine, juice, or anything else, or from drinking a necessary medicine or anything else by which consciousness is lost, then ablution is invalidated.”
