Hadith on Sujud: Hypocrites unable to prostrate on Judgment Day

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Our Lord will reveal His shin and every believing man and woman will prostrate to Him, but there will remain those who prostrated in the world for ostentation and respectability. They will try to prostrate, but their back will be as stiff as a single bone.

عَنْ ‌أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَكْشِفُ رَبُّنَا عَنْ سَاقِهِ فَيَسْجُدُ لَهُ كُلُّ مُؤْمِنٍ وَمُؤْمِنَةٍ وَيَبْقَى مَنْ كَانَ يَسْجُدُ فِي الدُّنْيَا رِئَاءً وَسُمْعَةً فَيَذْهَبُ لِيَسْجُدَ فَيَعُودُ ظَهْرُهُ طَبَقًا وَاحِدًا
