‘Ubaydullah reported: Abdullah ibn Mas’ud, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “You do not narrate to people what their minds cannot grasp but that it will be a trial for some of them.”

Ibn Hajar said, “It is not appropriate to mention confusing matters to laypeople.”
