Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would say in his supplications, “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disability and sloth, cowardice and senility, hardness of heart and negligence, dependence and humiliation and misery. I seek refuge in You from poverty and unbelief, wickedness and discord, hypocrisy and fame-seeking and ostentation. I seek refuge in You from deafness and dumbness, insanity and contagion, leprosy and evil ailments.”

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي دُعَائِهِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْهَرَمِ وَالْقَسْوَةِ وَالْغَفْلَةِ وَالْعَيْلَةِ وَالذِّلَّةِ وَالْمَسْكَنَةِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْفَقْرِ وَالْكُفْرِ وَالْفُسُوقِ وَالشِّقَاقِ وَالنِّفَاقِ وَالسُّمْعَةِ وَالرِّيَاءِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الصَّمَمِ وَالْبَكَمِ وَالْجُنُونِ وَالْجُذَامِ وَالْبَرَصِ وَسَيِّئِ الْأَسْقَامِ
